Why Choose Me as Your Counselor?
I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the AASW, holding a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours). My approach combines insights from both psychology and social work, ensuring a holistic understanding of your experiences.
I focus on collaboration, working alongside you to identify effective strategies that support your goals. Using a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness techniques, I strive to create a supportive environment tailored to help you navigate your mental health journey.

Meet Emma
Hello.
I’m Emma.
I feel my unique background enriches my approach to mental health. I began my journey as an actor and stand-up comic in Adelaide, which led me to move to Melbourne to perform and to create a YouTube "Sexpert," where I shared humorous yet well-researched insights on sex, sexuality, dating, and relationships.
As a writer, I’ve contributed to publications like Flinders University’s Empire Times Magazine and the Adult Match Maker Blog as a 'Sexpert,' alongside maintaining my own blog.
My desire to help others inspired me to return to university, where I earned an Honours degree in Psychology and completed my Master’s in Social Work. Having faced my own struggles with anxiety and depression as a late-diagnosed neurodivergent individual, I bring valuable perspectives to my practice.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, relaxing by my pond, and spending time with my furry and feathered friends. In short, I’m a writer, humorist, actor, comedian, academic, and counsellor—passionate about helping you thrive.
